Swimming in White Clay Creek is a common recreational activity. Water quality is monitored, but bacteria levels can fluctuate, particularly after rain. To ensure your safety, avoid swimming during and for 72 hours after rain events, and follow the safety tips provided by the Chester County Water Resources Authority (CCWRA), such as not swallowing the water and showering before and after swimming.
